Delivery Slots, Holidays & Store Pickup
This module manages how orders are fulfilled, ensuring customers can only place orders when the store is open and has availability.
Delivery Slots
- Time Slots: Admins can define operational hours broken down into time slots (e.g., 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM).
- Capacity: Each slot has a maximum order capacity. Once filled, the slot becomes unavailable for new customers.
- Cutoff Time: Admins can set a cutoff time (e.g., 2 hours before the slot starts) to stop accepting orders for that specific slot.
Holidays & Blackout Dates
- Store Closures: Admins can easily add "Holidays" for dates when the store will not be making deliveries or accepting pickups.
- Date Ranges: A holiday can span multiple consecutive days.
- Recurring Holidays: Holidays can be set to repeat yearly (e.g., National Holidays).
- The Checkout page intelligently handles these dates, automatically skipping closed days and showing a tooltip message with the reason (e.g., "Closed: Diwali").
Store Pickup (Click & Collect)
- Settings Toggle: Supermarket Admins can enable or disable the "Store Pickup" feature from Settings -> Delivery & Taxes.
- Checkout Flow: When enabled, customers see an option to choose "Store Pickup" during checkout. This bypasses delivery charges.
- Pickup Times: Customers will still need to select a valid operating time slot for their pickup, ensuring the store is open when they arrive.
